Advent Resources online

Advent begins tomorrow. Here are some online Advent resources from which to choose:

Loyola Press’s Ignatian Spirituality has a whole set of Advent resources from reflections on art to weekly videos, to an online Advent calendar. They are conveniently listed here on one main page. You can also sign up for daily reflections on mercy from Pope Francis at a link they provide:

Creighton University has an extensive set of Advent reflections here. They have daily Advent prayers and an online Advent retreat, as well as some good resources on how to get into the spirit of Advent:

Boston College has Advent reflections for 2015 here, available by email when a new reflection is posted:

Busted Halo has a fun Advent calendar here, with new windows to open each day that have a Daily Jolt (thought of the day) and Micro-challenge (small action to undertake every day):

The UCSSB has an Advent calendar, too, with specific prayers and daily Jesse tree symbols, and a downloadable calendar specifically oriented for families:

Here are some Advent songs online for those of us not ready to hear Christmas songs on the radio quite yet. Although it doesn’t have my favorite, “Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming,”it’s a pretty good place to start:
